The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. Our home was built Circa 1778, from the wide plank floors, the hand carved molding and chair rails, to the barreled ceilings and mullion window much of our home maintains its Colonial beginnings, formal Federal architecture and history within these details. We enjoy a beautiful lake at one end of our street and Heritage Park at the other end. Behind our home you can wander down a winding dirt road that is perfect for a country stroll and is part of a 200 acre nature preserve. We have many fun things on the property to entertain young and old. There is a playscape, tree rope swing, playhouse and a fire pit that we are happy to share with our guests. We also have bicycles and a canoe available for a small fee based on the duration of use. While we honor the history we also have many modern amenities such as free WIFI, Chrome Cast on all flat screens as well as a mini-frig for left overs or supplies. We can usually accommodate specific requests so please do not be shy since we do not list all of our offerings but have experienced many special requests. This is a rustic camping experience in an open field. Only a firewood/charcoal grill is provided with firewood for one daily meal. A centralized "Portable Restroom" and water point are within walking distance. A shower trailer rental is available from local vendors. The "North Field Picnic Area" is mowed grass with a bonfire pit and charcoal grill/smoker. Located in our "North Field" there is a long stone wall, a "soccer field" like area where we hold weddings and events, and the entire field is encircled with forest, day lilies, and wild raspberries. It is a favorite place for deer and turkey. There will be wildlife visiting throughout the day. "Hunting" with your camera is encouraged. Mid Sep. through mid Oct. is fall foliage time, Mid June through July is the Mountain Laurel bloom, Late winter/early Spring is Maple Sugaring time.

No cars allowed at the site! Your campsite is alongside a small stream provided with two tents. A glamp tent with queen-sized bed, sheets, pillows and blankets. As well as a writing desk and two night stands. There is an eating/kitchen area with kamado style ceramic charcoal grill (plates & cooking utensils included), a firepit with coffee percolator and log seating, composting toilet, sink, and solar shower. The Space: Enjoy a forest miles away from the concrete jungle. Guest Access: This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party. Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean. Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
